Last week was the first week of a new school year, and on my Friday my students brainstormed all the words that came to mind from the new week. Check it out! I am sure we are going to have a great year.
Found some great articles today for teaching and learning about endangered animals.
Our Monster Project is now finished. Click here to see the 2nd part of this project.
We are learning about castles and students made these great recycled-materials castles to show their learning. Carola, Caroline, Eva and Maria Max, Elettra and Kolby Lucy, Iacopo and Anastasiya Moritz, Jennifer and Betsy
Students just finished learning about the Great Seal of the United States. Each student then made his or her own Great Seal. They are beautiful and represent the students so well!
We returned to school today. It was wonderful to see students, welcome a new student and hear about vacations. We spent the morning reading parts of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and learning about Ichabod Crane. Students are now illustrating a moment from the story. Students tried to figure out if it was a ghost, or perhaps Brom Bones. I love this illustration, black and white silhouette from the Postal Museum.
